ROAR Region 10 On Road Fuel Championships

 

We decided to cancel the Region 10 Champs for the weekend of 8/26 & 8/27 due to weather.

We set up the track Friday evening and finished doing so in the rain.  We were unable to blow off the track as it was wet.  The plan was to blow off the track and spray sugar water on Saturday morning.  About 8:00 on Saturday, a pretty intense thunderstorm came through and ruined those plans.  With the track soaked, the rain falling and much more predicted for this afternoon and tomorrow, we decided to cancel for the weekend.  By the time the track dried enough to blow off, then sugar water was sprayed and it dried, we believe we would only get a little practice before we would be inundated by the rain again.

We will attempt to run the Region Champs as a 1 day event on our next scheduled race date, September 10th.

If anyone who is already registered for the Region Champs would like their money back, please contact us.

We apologize for the inconvenience and expenses but, unfortunately, the weather is beyond our control.

We hope to see everyone on September 10th and we'll keep our fingers crossed for good weather.

 

Please note the following:

- .12 Touring racers - Please check the ROAR web site for the ROAR legal bodies.  Make it easier for our tech guys by ensuring your car is legal!

- ROAR membership is required to race or pit crew.  Join now!  Turn around time from ROAR is pretty fast.  Membership form is on the ROAR web site.

- Please know the ROAR rules - don't be surprised on race day.  The rule book is available on the ROAR web site.

- 1/8th racers - Please remember, you need to run an INS Box and a 3 chamber pipe!

- Please fill out one entry form per class.  Second form need not have all the personal information, just name and race info.

- Please sign up early.  This will save you money, help us get the races organized in advance and help us figure out how many trophies to order!

- Race location is at Jenkins Middle School.  For a map and address, check our regular schedule.
